The Periodic Table Became Easier With The Legend "Tom Lehrer"

I remember that...too many years ago...when I was in Grade 10 at Al-Khor Secondary School...Our Chemistry Teacher told us that, the Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev developed the periodic table of the elements in 1869 which displays over 100 known chemical elements ordered according to their atomic number also she added that...the table is continuously subject to changes as new elements are discovered...at the beggining... it was a little bit difficult for us to learn all about these elements...even on the current time...Students might mostly associate it with dry recitation.

However,  I do strongly recommend that, students should listen to " The Elements" Tom Lehrer's song which can make learning the periodic table more appealing...

Please...You are kindly requested to click on the above video to listen to
                                                   "The Elements Song"

We'll find in this song that Lehrer ordered the elements to fit the melody rather than following a scientific method...so to give the students a break from reviewing the periodic table...Teacher can devote a one lesson to teach her students Tom Lehrer's song " The Elements" which gives a list of the names found on the periodic table...The Teacher can charge the students to find the elements that have been discovered since 1960...But by now...further elements have been discovered and added to the periodic table...students can add the new elements in the correct order into the song before singing it all together...

POETRY

Poetry is one of genres of literature. It is an unimaginative piece of oral or written work full of musical sounds. That is to say works that creates particular sound sensation, which appeals to the ear of listeners. These similar and dissimilar sounds put together in organized manner provoke the feelings and emotions of the listener.

Poetry is such way turns to be an art which has the ability to represent and reflect human experiences effectively, as to create and build up universal appeal and interest. These human experiences are propelled and moved by emotions.

In fact…Poetry has no particular standard definition…How? Ok I'll explain…for example many poets have their particular concept and view on what poetry stands for them…Lets take Coleridge as an example…mmm Coleridge is a famous Poet, but I'm not sure what is his nationality and I'm not sure if his name is spelled by the above way….but he said 'a poem is that species of composition which is opposed to works of science, by proposing for its immediate object pleasue'….another poet like William Wordsworth says ' Poetry is the image of man and nature' and he also said…Poetry is the spontaneous over flow or powerful feeling'….

And now…let me mention the most important saying for ….Opps I forgot his name but he said a very important statement …he said:

'POETRY IS LITERATURE, USUALLY OF A HIGH DEGREE OFHUMAN INTEREST, IN ADITION TO ITS HUMAN INTEREST, HAS IN IT AN ADDED AESTHETIC INTEREST DUE TO THE ARRANGEMENT OF SOME EASILY RECOGNIZABLE AND CONSTANTLY PRESENT CONCOMITANT OF THOUGHT FORMULATION INTO A FORM OF ASTHETIC APPEAL FOR WHICH AN APPRECIATIVE AESTHITIC SENTIMENT HAS BEEN GRADUALLY DEVELOPED IN THE MIND OF THOSE WHO HABITUALLY THINK BY MEANS OF THE LANGUAGE IN WHICH THE POETRY IS WRITTEN'

Therefore…Poetry arises from the nature desire of man either to reproduce what he or she sees and hears, or to express in permanent way and style what he thinks and feels…

In regarding to the use of speech…poetry uses speech in two distinct ways:

FIRST as rhythmical sound which is one of the media of expression in terms of the senses …

SECONDLY as representative of delineating and describing ideas of every possible character by means of the symbolical significance of language…
A Poem is not a story. In a poem what happened, where and when…how and why is nt told…in a poem what is there is only the expression f the emotion itself . This emotion and passion could be nostalgic, a sense of yearning to the glorious past or could be outrageous causing unbearable anger…or it could be lustful or a sense of loss and alienation…could be agony and internal pain and could be …what ever it can be…

In a poem…the emotion is directly …concisely profanely expressed…in poetry the narrative question is all left unanswered

Poems are like novels and plays share some common concern such a a senseof wordplays, a sharp consciousness of some particular feeling and emotion….

Poems…tend to share the following characteristics:

there are rhymed….They have regular rhythm internally and externally ….They describe something beautiful or ugly….They state a universal truth…They elevate human thoughts…They make human kinds feel better….They tend to teach and advice people….they offer aesthetic pleasure and create taste of beauty and civility…..

And at last my friendz…I would like to mention that…the poetry is a reflection upon the various phenomena that form human life and the world…what I wanted to say is some knowledge of other related subjects such as philosophy , anthropology , sociology, etc are very important to assist you in appreciating poetry…

Kinds of Drama

What is Drama.? and why I'm discussing it here with the bloggers..well..In fact, I'm discussing it simply cause we are people! and we need to pass time and  we do need the drama to live new adventures ...we laugh and we cry...we love and we hate...we swim...we fly...we walk miles and miles and we can do the micricales...Drama gives us chance to escape a couple of hours of the hectic life...

KINDS OF DRAMA:

There are different kinds f drama...the dramatic types are tragedy, comedy and farce...In the face of Human disasters, tragedy attempts to elevate human values...while comedy treats people as they arelaughing at them or sympathizing with them, but showing them t be successful nevertheless. Farce exaggerates human foolishness, getsthe characters into improbable and lunatic situations and laughs at everyone in sight...
People go to the theatre to share an experience that will give them kind of satisfaction, amusment, relaxation, escape, excitement, stimulation, learning and edifcation...All these types of inclination of desires are found in one of the kinds of drama mentioned....
The Structure of the play...
The Structure of the play consists of plot, character, thought, diction music and spectacle or audience as it appears in Aristole Poetics...Plot is the structural element of the play that gives the action its form...In Drama Plot is the shape of the story...It is made up of a series of incidents selected and arranged in order to produce an audience response....

THE SECRETS OF FRIENDSHIP

Friendship! How I love this word! And now can you concentrate with me and take a close look at this word?
Look it's just a simple word containing only 10 letters, but it has a very big secret and now the question is where and what is this secret? And my answer is “The Meaning” yes its secret contains its meaning…it has a meaning which is very deep… more far than a mountain more stronger than a stormy ocean…clear like a shining star in the sky and most of all it's a Feeling.
Yes it's a group of great feelings: love, happiness, pleasure, refreshment, and unlimited great feelings. Because of this reason, if I spent the whole day explaining the meaning of friendship I wont even express 0.000000001 percent of the meaning of friendship.
That is because it's a feeling of love and as you know that love is a feeling that can not be expressed in words or written in a blue or a pink paper, it's a prize, gift that can't be bought or sold not only this but it's a very expensive jewel which is more precious than treasure, pearls, gold, or even hills of diamonds.
So all of you have to remember one important thing and that is if you have got only one close friend be sure that you won the world specially nowadays you can't a find a real friend easily but after a long search & scan which makes anyone feel fed up, sick, or on the other hand exhausted.
O who you believe in the word "friendship," I am asking you to give it its rights so that you gain it besides to gain respect from everyone which will make you feel proud of yourself which will lead to happiness which will lead to satisfaction which will lead to love which will lead to brotherhood which will lead you & your friend to the right path which is love & that really the main point of friendship.
Really that's all I can say from my point of view but I frankly know that these humble words are not enough to express about friendship but that's all I can write hoping that all people all around the world make friendships with each other but first studying the character deeply, deeply, deeply before taking this step. Without thinking very sensitively on this topic, you'll face obstacles & you'll not be well qualified to this mission.
I call it a mission because to accomplish a mission you need to work in it for a long period so that you complete it exactly like friendship you need to wait for a long time & study the character then you can decide whether this person is qualified to be your best friend or just one of your normal friends not the close ones and by the way a friend might be a mum, dad a sister or a brother. Am I right or not? I think I am right.
Finally, I close with saying that you can't live without a friend & you can't live with a friend which you hate so take your time besides think deeply then decide. Now I want to tell this rhythm inside my heart to all my friends:
Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet, and so are you.
